The really sad part is that even though his poor mother is dying from an illness , he takes advantage of her. Now he decides "I'm gonna kill you now." and dies. For starters, the plot was confusing and the employers were either clueless or incompetent.Colonel Renard tells you to "do this and get out, I have plans for Carver V and you don't want to be part of them." Later on in the campaign he says, "So, betrayed me too."My Response: You said that you want nothing to do with me, and now I betrayed you? What kind of drugs were you taking when you said that?Then you have this douchebag called Jason Cho, everytime you do good he fails miserably and even his mother respects you more than him. There is no need for Mechcommander 2 installation nor disk.If there was one thing I didn't like, it was the campaign mode.
This also came after the revelation that the "bandits" were a Liao catspaw trying to take advantage of the Steiner and Davion forces trying to stand down and not provoke one another (the whole reason you're hired is because neither the Steiner loyalists nor the Davion ones can move to neutralize the bandits without potentially spooking the other side and starting a war between former brothers-in-arms). After that little fiasco I had earlier with House Steiner and Jason Cho, do you really expect me to just stand there and take it? Heh, No thanks.Here some advice for you Jason: if you want your mother to be proud of you, STOP SCREWING UP!!!The only thing that I could ask is how does a Steiner Colonel command a Davion Major? I could understand if they were still the Federated Commonwealth, but that alliance is starting to crumble.I wouldn't mind the Mercenary Storyline as a secondary storyline, but would if wanted to play as any of the other Houses? At least it would help the player learn about each house's perspective and reason for being on Carver V.Despite the huge storyline flaw, it's still enjoyable.But at least the misson editor makes up for that (If you found out how to work it.).Edited by Will9761, 09 April 2012 - 05:00 PM.Renard complained about you "turning on him" because he found a Liao mole among his staff officers (what's-her-face). In the end, not many people used the multiplayer functionality in MechCommander 2 when it was originally released so we determined it probably wasn't worth the security review costs.You are, of course, free to implement and distribute your own multiplayer support as an add-on if you wish.Soooo. The cost of security reviewing the multiplayer code was very high, and in addition to being outside of our budget for this sort of thing it was also outside of the scope for what we needed in order to demonstrate MechCommander 2 being built with XNA Build. :-)We wanted to keep multiplayer support in there but any time you release source code like this you have to send it through security reviews. But where Mechcommander 2 is concerned, they have intentionally disabled the multiplayer aspect of the game."You are correct again, it looks like you've been looking through the source pretty closely.
